With Christmas just around the corner, people are going to start moaning, we all know how it is. It’s too cold, there is too much snow and the prices are too high. But, whilst all of that is going on why don’t we focus on the great things in life. The greatest things in life being something that moves you, makes you feel, Do you agree? You do? That’s great.

That’s why over the month of December my creative forum “Visionary Gateway” is going to be highlighting a piece of art or a design, a photograph or anything that is Creative and Christmas themed. The best part of it all though? We want your creative items.

Why are we focusing on creativity rather than something else? Because creativity is something that moves you, the reason you listen to music is mostly because it makes you smile or cry or even laugh?

The #creativechristmas11 works on the idea and knowledge that at the time when families are close and people are enjoying looking out of the window at the cold nights with their hot chocolate, we want to give them one more reason to smile.

There are no limits on what we’ll accept into the #creativechristmas11 advent calendar, as long as it’s a tasteful piece of artwork that everyone can look at, because after all, Christmas is for families. We think that it’s important that we focus on you guys, because with a year completely full of cuts especially in the arts, then people need to have reasons to laugh or smile or even, should it be the case, cry.

There is one thing I urge of you though, lets really shout out for the creative world here, with everyone reading this making something that makes you go “Wow, that’s amazing”. Because art has the ability to do that. Creativity is the reason people are still together, people love each other, something that reminds you of someone, the reason people can remember a magic moment together.
