Sam Slam is a spoken word slam being organised to raise money and awareness for the Cardiff branch of Samaritans.

It’s open to anybody and everybody who wants to compete – sign up at facebook by writing on the wall or email Steven_Kenward@hotmail.com

There’s a THEME of ‘LISTENING’ for the poems/monologues/rants/raps/stories/noises perrformed in the first round and a TIME LIMIT of 4 minutes.

If you get to the next round, you can do material about whatever you like!

ENTRY is £3 for watchers, but FREE for slammers and there will be a FABULOUS PRIZE for the winner.

The fantastic Mab Jones will be a guest judge (together with members of the audience) and will help Steven Kenward to warm up the crowd.

The Cardiff Samaritans are looking forward to seeing lots of your lovely faces and hearing your even more lovely words. It promises to be an excellent word fest!
